 SUMMARY

The CA Loan Counselor is a collections representative that is responsible for making outbound collection calls and receiving inbound calls from customers on accounts past due (as primary responsibility). Must be able to identify payment problems and solutions. The collector must be able to ask appropriate fact finding questions and provide accurate company information. The collection agent is required to follow basic call script and adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding payment arrangements, account documentation, proper disclosures, update of customer information. Must follow through on commitments made to customer – e.g. setup on ACH, submit request for documents/payoff. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The CA Loan Counselor is responsible for making outbound calls through auto-dialer and document accounts. Receive inbound calls from customers & document accts. Attend department training/meetings. Participate in coaching/performance discussions. Regular, consistent, and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job. 

SKILLS 

The CA Loan Counselor must have strong communication skills, ability to negotiate and/or strong sales ability, problem solving, analytical ability, ability to multi-task and maneuver various systems. Intermediate PC experience. Strong mathematic skills. Ability to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Documented experience in customer service, sales, and/or collections required. 1 years of call center experience preferred. Experience with Call Center technologies; i.e. Auto-Dialer system, Concerto, and Lyricall. Mortgage servicing experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent.
